Vehicles registered after 1st April 2017 and with an original list price of £40,000 or more are subject to additional tax.
This additional tax is added ontop of the ‘standard tax’ for the vehicle if its original list price (when new) was £40,000 or more. This premium is only payable for five years after the vehicle is taxed for the second time.
